Excellent example how we can overcome th worst of circumstances and still have a very successful life.
Amazing story--quick read as you can't put it down January 7, 2009
As the story continues, you wonder "Did this really happen?" "How could this have happened?" "I hope this didn't happen." It is truly amazing how a person can come out of that chaotic life as a well-rounded successful woman. God Bless You Jeannette!
Wonderful book January 6, 2009
I am not a reader and i couldn't put this book down! It is so fun to read. I actually read the book first then bough this copy to pass around to friends. I haven't had a bad review yet! It is easy to read and very interesting that it is actually a true story.

It is hard for me to finish a book. I am always giving up half way. Not with The Glass Castle. I read it in 2 nights staying up until 4am. Great read...
 What if this had been your life? January 6, 2009
The story in this book was very believable untill the end - this is the part that really made me question what I had been thinking to this point. I think the ending is what made the book mean more and has kept me talking about the book.
