This book will change your life... December 27, 2008 And give you the tools you need to start to make a change now. This book is a self help book that actually helps. Why? Not only because you get some new knowledge but because you learn the tools that makes the knowledge into you own experience.
I bought this book first of all to my self and later for my family and friends as well. I is not like the previous books written by Richard Bandler. This is a more easy to follow stile with great exercises. I recommend you to take the time and read the book and do the exercises.
Spinning feelings November 18, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
RB is listed as the father and cocreator of NLP. So, you may wonder how this latest ode to his love child compares with previous offerings.
Its so refreshing to read a book that explains how to do NLP in plain language.
As he says: "Its not a philosopHy. Its not an ideology. Its not a religion. Its a toolbox."
As you get further into this book you will find exercises for many common life situations, including grief, taking tests, doing taxes, increasing desire, falling more in love, falling out of love, together with applications of well known processes such as the swish pattern, and the fast phobia model for traumatic memories.
Apparentl RB used to teach flirting. I would like to have seen him elaborate more on the flirting process, darn it.
I particularly liked his take on the fast phobia model.
Years ago Virginia Satir asked him what he thought the dominant instinct in human beings is. He replied 'Survival.' Her answer has stuck with him ever since.
This book shows RB's insight, followed by process and exercise which you can easily do yourself. Its easy to imagine referring to this book first to read RB's take on the situation first before reading another book or manual.
I would certainly recommend this as a first read for someone new or unfamiliar with NLP. If you're more interested in the Milton and Meta Model of communication, and already have trance experience, I would recommend Guide to Trance Formations.
I hope you find this review helpful, and, if you do, please click yes.
The "BEST" NLP Book Ever by Mr. Bandler October 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been collecting, reading, studying and practicing the principles of NLP for the past five years. This book is by far the easiest and most simple book to read and understand. The best advice I can give about this book is that it is more of a practical application book. Do the exercises in the book to get the most value out of the book. I would recommend this book to anyone that desires to learn how to make changes in their lives.
How to create results in your life October 30, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Richard is the most incredible communicator in first making you aware and then teaching you how you can change the behavior of both yourself and others by learning and applying his techniques. A MUST read for anyone wanting to create better results in their life!
Get the Life You Want October 25, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Richard Bandler's book is probably the most clearly written one I've seen him write. The procedures are illustrated and then summarized into a practical application format. I strongly recommend this book for those interested in learning to use Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
