1 out of 5 stars can't believe this lady does what she does and be successful!!!   January 2, 2009
WAOOOOO, this book is REALLY a waste of time, when someone has a bit of class and style it seems obvious this lady is sleazy, ship, and wao, soo trashy, not to mention how arrogant she is, doesn't surprise me that many hollywood stars pay for her advise, most of celebrities, NOT ALL, are people that have no style nor that old hollywood glamour AT ALL, and although are celebrities that doesn't mean they possess the glamour that was ones part of hollywood, who ever told her she was glamorous??!!, for God's sake, the least she is is glamorous!!all u have to do is just look at Rachel in one many of this books photos, in one of them just from the top of my head, she's wearing a white summer dress with panty hose.. BLACK ones!!!, her hair to long for her age, blue eye shadow!!!, very very trashy lady, must have a heck of a publicist to be so known and successful, after all is really about who u know, horrible style, and wao, no class at all!!, hate it, didn't even read 1/2 of it, it would b a waste of my time!!

5 out of 5 stars Delightfully fun and spirited!   December 22, 2008
If you like Project Rachel Zoe - you'll love this book! It's a light-hearted and fun book filled with many bits and pieces of Rachel Zoe herself. If you're a hater - then please don't even bother. The book is full of fun little tidbits, advice, and anecdotes from her own life. I completely get her and her obsession with fashion and the excess lifestyle. But then again, I work in fashion and you have to appreciate the lighter things in life. It was a delightful little read and great coffee table book.

1 out of 5 stars Didn't help at all   December 8, 2008

If you want a book about celebrities and how they actually travel and get ready, buy this book.

If you're looking for color guidance on clothing & layering, don't.

Glad I bought 2 other books which helped me tremendously (Isaace Mizrahi's How to have Style & Lucky Guide to Mastering any Style)

4 out of 5 stars What's on the Inside of this Book?   December 4, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Celebrity fashion stylist Rachel Zoe claims that she's all about what's on the INSIDE, "I mean," she writes in chapter 5, "who doesn't subscribe to that?" By watching her Bravo show, it would be a stretch to assume this personality trait about her because clearly it's ONLY about what's on the outside in terms of accessories, designer gowns and blatant fashion excess. This colorful book, however, is a fun collection of photos, drawings, and fashion tips. It provides Zoe's take on the importance of accessorizing (in a chapter called "Excessories,"), covers the red carpet, and what to wear behind closed doors. Celebrities coat the pages.

I believe it would make a great gift for not only fans of her show, but also fans of red carpet glamour. It's all about what it takes to put together these popular, iconic looks with the bonus of not having to listen to her voice or tolerate the moronic behavior of her staff.

4 out of 5 stars Rachel Zoe's Style A-Zoe   November 16, 2008
If you love fashion, glamour and bling, this book
is for you. Created to help push her TV reality show,
the book gives a behind-the-scenes look at her life,
her family, (Roger her husband, Taylor, her "rock"
who keeps everything all together and from falling
apart, and Brad the newest intern who came from Vogue)
The show is fast paced and this book slows things down
I loved the book and after reading it loved Rachel Zoe
and her "family" even more.
