Product Description As the long-time best-seller, Garrison has helped guide close to 2 million students through the challenging waters of managerial accounting since it was first published. It identifies the three functions managers must perform within their organizationsplan operations, control activities, and make decisionsand explains what accounting information is necessary for these functions, how to collect it, and how to interpret it. To achieve this, Managerial Accounting, 12/E, focuses, now as in the past, on three qualities:. Relevance. Every effort is made to help students relate the concepts in this book to the decisions made by working managers. With insightful chapter openers, the popular Managerial Accounting in Action segments within the chapters, and stimulating end-of-chapter exercises, a student reading Garrison should never have to ask Why am I learning this? . Balance. Theres more than one type of business, and so Garrison covers a variety of business models, including not-for-profit, retail, service, and wholesale organizations as well as manufacturing. In the twelfth edition, service company examples are highlighted with icons in the margins of the text. . Clarity. Generations of students have praised Garrison for the friendliness and readability of its writing, but thats just the beginning. Technical discussions have been simplified, material has been reordered, and the entire book carefully retuned to make teachingand learningfrom Garrison as easy as it can be. In addition, the supplements package is written by Garrison, Noreen, and Brewer, ensuring that students and professors will work with clear, well-written supplements that employ consistent terminology..

Did'nt Work November 24, 2008 The book I got was not to be sold in North America. I dont know how anyone can sell unvalid book to American resident.
Managerial Accounting and how to reduce your cost? November 23, 2008 To someone who wants to look at a company's financial performance internally, Managerial Accounting book is an excellent fit.
It's all about costs and how to make right decisions accordingly such as how to implement ABC system, should I get out of business, or close a line of product, how to expand producing capacities?... those questions are easily found in this valuable book.
Beside there are several pratical and helpful exercises, problems and case studies at the end of each chapter that shed more light on mentioned theories.
International Edition October 13, 2008 The book seems fine and is defiantly readable, but do NOT order the international edition like I did. The main content seems the same, but ALL the questions in the back are different, meaning I can't use this book for homework, studying with others, or comparing against the answers the professor gives us.
I repeat, do NOT order the international version.
Pleased October 10, 2008 I was pleased with the condition of the textbook and most importantly the deliver time.
right on time September 22, 2008 This arrived in 4 days and I'm thoroughly impressed. It's a required book for my class and although I haven't yet covered all the material, it seems to present the basics of managerial accounting in a factual and thorough manner. A five so far...
