Customer Reviews:
Clear enjoyable intro to Weather (not dumbed down) December 30, 2008 I bought the 3rd Edition because it was so inexpensive. Having read the usual popular books on weather, I was interested in a little more science behind the facts. I can not describe the "Eureka" moments that came in every chapter. For 2 -3 bucks plus postage it really delivers. I see 10 times more in the sky than I ever did before. (Surface maps will never be enough again.)
Good text book, bit too pricey May 7, 2007 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I liked this book alot when I was in climatology. It isn't longwinded and is explained in plain english. It's Good as a source book, but goes into great detail (even too much) in some sections and not enough in other parts.
Overall, it's a bit too expensive if you aren't using this for a course. Buy it used if you can.
