Product Description "Dick, I need a war." Nicolas Creel is a man on a mission. He heads up the world's largest defense contractor, The Ares Corporation. Dick Pender is the man Creel retains to "perception manage" his company to even more riches by manipulating international conflicts. But Creel may have an even grander plan in mind. Shaw, a man with no first name and a truly unique past, has a different agenda. Reluctantly doing the bidding of a secret multi-national intelligence agency, he travels the globe to keep it safe and at peace. Willing to do anything to get back to the top of her profession, Katie James is a journalist who has just gotten the break of a lifetime: the chance to interview the sole survivor of a massacre that has left every nation stunned. In this terrifying, global thriller, these characters' lives will collide head-on as a series of events is set in motion that could change the world as we know it. An utterly spellbinding story that feels all too real, THE WHOLE TRUTH delivers all the twists and turns, emotional drama, unforgettable characters, and can't-put-it-down pacing that readers expect from David Baldacci-and still goes beyond anything he's written before.

Cant put it down January 5, 2009 If you are looking for a good book that will keep you reading this is it. I could not put it down and often caught myself reading it until the wee hours of the morning
Interesting story concept for a thriller December 29, 2008 I found this to be a very original story and very relevant in today's political climate. I was kept very interested and enjoyed the development of some of the characters and the plot as it unfolded. However, I found in this book (as well as some of other Baldacci's novels) that some characters seem to take a detour from the way they are originally presented. For example, Frank seems to change from something of an adversary to an ally who goes as far as showing compassion for Shaw and Anna. I realize that Frank and Shaw become embroiled in a mission to save the world from Nicholas Creel's evil plan. However, Frank begins to show too much compassion based on the what is believable given who he is. After all, at the opening of the book, he is essentially blackmailing Shaw to continue working for him the rest of his life. I thought the way Katie and Shaw's romantic tension was concluded at the end was well done. It seems to leave the door open for another book with these characters. Overall, I enjoyed this Baldacci story.
Baldacci writes another winner December 24, 2008 This book may take place largely outside the U.S., but like a Starbucks in London, it's still American. In The Whole Truth nearly all the major players are American, and the ones who aren't have no power. A U.S. defense contractor hires an American ''perception management'' firm to turn the world against Russia and create another Cold War (apparently Russia has no say in the matter). Meanwhile, an American journalist gets wind of the scheme. Fortunately, the plot travels with the same speed as its globe-trotting cast, but the action feels familiar and ends where you knew it would: back home. A great action book that reminds me of a James Bond story.
Difficult Follow December 22, 2008 The whole truth is actually a very excellant book but I had to listen more than twice to understand who all the characters were and why they were and what they were doing. There is way too much going on in the 1st several chapters to get a grip on it. At 1st I listened to each chapter twice and now that I finished the book, I am doing it again because I the puzzel pieces fit. Now that it makes sence to me I am enjoying it very much. The hero and herione are great together. Hopefully there will be a sequel or new story line for them. I will definately buy it.
Baldacci Best Writer Ever! December 6, 2008 I have read every book David Baldacci has written. Unlike some other authors their books become predictable, but his do NOT.. They keep you wanting to read more.
